Draft Mercury Phase-Down Strategy
August 2007

Comment Period is now Closed

In fulfillment of a Collaboration Strategy recommendation, in April 2006, the Collaboration commenced development of a basin-wide Strategy for the phase-down of mercury in products and waste.

The Draft Strategy (PDF, 311Kb) was available for public comment through October 27, 2007. Comments received during the public comment period are now being considered.

A copy of the draft document was first distributed to government agency experts for technical review, then revised and distributed to a limited group of industry and environmental group stakeholders. The summary of Responses to Comments on Mercury in Products Phasedown Strategy From Limited Stakeholder Review By the Great Lakes Mercury in Products Phasedown Strategy Team (PDF, 45Kb) has also been provided for your reference.
